Business Development Executive

£30,000 - £32,000

Working within a team, supported by an Appointment Setter and Marketing Executive, you will be using multiple channels to create B2B opportunities for the wider Commercial team. Business development activities will include networking using various technologies, attending business meetings, as well as exhibitions and events, building prospect lists and engaging with potential new clients in order to sell the range of company services. You will be driving the sales function in collaboration with management.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Driving awareness and interest in the company services
  • Researching and developing relationships with new prospects – engagement, contact and lead-generation activity
  • Being the first point of contact for incoming enquiries
  • Presenting products and services to prospects and clients via face-to-face, telephone and webinar activity
  • Developing compelling proposals for engaged prospects
  • Attending industry functions and providing feedback and information on market trends
  • Promoting and following up on marketing campaigns and thought-pieces designed to capture decision-makers’ interest
  • Tracking contact activity and conversations, gathering intelligence on job role changes and contract renewal dates
  • Shaping business development strategy and tactics
  • Creating and owning a library of collateral to support the sales process
  • Actively engaging the wider business, sharing key initiatives and collaborating to achieve success

We are looking for an individual who possesses:

  • Exceptional communication skills
  • Commercial acumen and who is focused on outcomes
  • Proven experience in generating new business development meetings in a B2B environment
  • Ability to build trusted relationships both internally and externally, communicating effectively at all levels
