The role involves client management and undertaking property matters including property sales/purchases, new leases and renewal leases, disputes relating to property matters, breach of contract, mergers and acquisitions. Experience of working with private organisations is essential and public organisations would be an advantage.
Job Specifics
This is a hands on position dealing with a client portfolio as a solicitor account manager. You will be a proactive and a determined individual with the ability to not only deal with the legal matters but be a people person championing the service offering and supporting the business development team by being the best in legal client services. Your work will bring about positive word of mouth recommendations and allow the opportunity for the company to cross sell products and services as a one stop solution to our client’s needs.
Qualifications and Requirements
A minimum of 5 years PQE experience as a solicitor in commercial property work is required to apply for this position.

Your role will entail:
Manage a costs caseload of claimant/defendant costs files
Judical reviews
Dealing with claims / cases against police authorities
Advise on and prepare claims for costs from public funds (Legal Aid)
Liaise with external agencies such as the Legal Aid Agency
Prepare costs budgets and advise on costs budgets presented by an opposing party
Draft bills of costs and schedules of costs
Negotiate on cost offers
Attend costs assessments and advocate at costs-related hearings
Act as a costs mediator or arbitrator in costs disputes, advising on disputes between solicitors and their clients
