A leading firm of Chartered Accountants with clients in various sectors are looking to recruit a Tax Associate to work within their accounts team.

The Tax Associate will assist in the preparation of corporate & personal tax returns and all necessary reporting documents, supporting the Tax Manager in all aspects of work with our diverse range of tax clients.

We are looking for confident and driven candidates with at least 2 years’ experience in personal tax.  Qualified or part qualified candidates will have an advantage, but this is not essential.

  • Qualified Accountant / Manager

    We are looking for a Senior Qualified Accountant to join a busy and professional accountancy practice as a Senior/Manager.     You will be managing a portfolio of corporate clients, working from the office and carrying out all aspects of accounts work by managing a team.  

    Duties and responsibilities will include:


    • Planning jobs and contact clients to remind them when preparation work is due.  
    • Liaising/meeting with the client to consider both their needs and the key areas relating to the assignment.
    • Liaising with the appropriate Tax Manager before the assignment commences to ensure that any tax related matters are known and advising him/her when the assignment will be ready for a tax review.
    • Arranging for the appropriate staff to be available.
    • Preparing the budget and agreeing it and the timing with the client
    • Managing a team of Senior managers / managers 
    • Provide support and ensure job assignments, probationary reviews and appraisals are carried out on time
    • Manage a team of staff, ensuring work is carried out efficiently and on time
    • Attend network events and identify business opportunities for business growth

    Are you an experienced Mortgage Underwriter, working within regulated the first and second charge market? Are you CeMAP qualified or equivalent and do you enjoy advising, underwriting and processing mortgage applications to find the right outcome for the customer?     As an Underwriter you will:

    - Ensure clients receive the very best advice possible for their circumstances
    - Process applications
    - Build and maintain relationships with third parties to ensure applications are completed on time
    - Respond to incoming customer telephone calls, identifying and meeting customer requirements
    - Complete all related underwriting and administration activities including chasing required documentation in order to complete customer applications
    - Carry out Credit Reference checks when required on all applicants 
    - Ensure compliance including complying with Money Laundering/Fraud Prevention/Data Protection/FCA regulations and individual compliance with the company’s TCF policy.

    You will have previous mortgage underwriting experience and be part or fully CeMAP qualified (or equivalent). You will have experience of handling queries with excellent communication and administration skills. This is a busy role and offers the opportunity to take ownership of cases and see applications through from initial enquiry to completion.

    This lively business based in Loughton is looking for a Warehouse Operative to review and evaluate warehouse processes in addition to assisting with the overall production and dispatch of customer orders. You’ll be joining the company to question their ways of working, using your experience and knowledge to provide an action plan to ensure the operation runs smoothly.

    This role is starting as a temporary role that may progress into a permanent role.
