A great new job role has become available for a School Facilities/ Premises Manager.

The role itself is extremely varied from:

  • Property management and security service to the school,
  • To plan, co-ordinate and implement inspection, maintenance and repairs to the School Building and Grounds
  • Manage the premises staff and liaise with Contractors to ensure that the highest standards of Service Delivery are maintained
  • To be responsible for the Health and Safety of the Site and ensure the security of the school premises
  • Maintain any machinery or plant within the school.
  • Maintain the internal and external fabric of the school premises as a safe and secure working environment.
  • Carry out audits and maintenance programmes
  • Accountable for ordering, delivery and storage of premises relating to supplies, consumables and equipment
  • Manage the school CCTV system, ensure it's compliance with GDPR and manage access requests for staff members
  • Makes necessary provision for meetings and activities during and beyond normal school hours,  including arranging furniture and equipment required.
  • Responsible for liaison with the school's cleaning contractor to ensure the school is cleaned according to the contractual specification - taking action regarding overflowers, accidents, spillages 
  • Ensure the school site is safe and secure environment for the students, staff and visitors

This is an all year round role (37.5 hours) with 33 days holiday and be available for call outs for emergencies
The successful candidate will need to have experience working as a premises/facilities manager within a school (for 2  years +)

    We’re looking for a IT Support Technician that is experienced in maintaining a company’s effectiveness by supporting staff with their IT support issues and queries. This role is essential for delivering a smooth running of the business and integral in creating an environment in which they can deliver their strategic priorities.

    Key skills and knowledge to succeed in this role:

    Strong IT competency:

    • Log, update, and close incidents/tickets on the company's issue tracking system along with informing/liaising with the IT service provider where necessary
    • Installing and configuring new IT hardware such as PCs, phones, networking equipment, printers and scanners
    • Performing preventative maintenance tasks and raising issues or taking remedial action where necessary/as directed by the IT Manager
    • Maintain a database of all IT-managed hardware and software
    • Undertake a variety of systems administration and routine user administrative tasks across the business' IT systems including (but not limited to) Active Directory, Exchange, CRM, and GP

    Analytically minded:

    • To provide technical guidance to staff on the use of IT equipment and software and liaising with the business analyst to produce help sheets, user guides and other electronic materials

    Strong verbal and written communication skills:

    • To act as a first point of contact for staff (alongside the IT service provider) with IT hardware or software-related queries and troubleshoot/resolve, escalate, or pass onto our IT service provider / contractors as appropriate
    • Assist the team to meet their objectives

    A customer-centric philosophy:

    • Communicate key insights, issues and findings to the IT Manager
    • Contribute positively to the team and support other colleagues


    Proven experience in an IT support role supporting/administering Microsoft Windows Operating Systems/Server (inc Active Directory), Microsoft Exchange, Microsoft Office, computer networking and IP phone systems.


    Experience of supporting Terminal Services, Microsoft Dynamics, Great Plains, and SQL Server Administration would be advantageous.
