About the Role

You will be responsible for:
• Providing EU and UK VAT expertise both internally and externally, explaining complex concepts.
• Delivering high-quality tax compliance, including VAT, Corporation Tax, and Employment Tax.
• Conducting tax planning and research to identify potential tax savings opportunities.
• Staying up-to-date with UK and European tax legislation and regulations.
• Collaborating with colleagues to ensure tax compliance and efficiency.
• Supporting the Director and senior team with tax related queries.
• Building relationships with customers by providing tax information.
Required Skills and Experience:
• Experienced tax accounting professional.
• Proven track record in European tax, with a strong focus on VAT.
• Excellent understanding of EU VAT within goods and services industries.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficient in relevant accounting software and systems.
Supported by the Director, you will have a real opportunity to develop your tax career within a commercial environment. Training on other areas of tax such as P11Ds and Corporation Tax will be given, with excellent long-term progression available within the organisation. if you have experience within EU tax, specifically VAT, call us or apply today!
