We all know it has become more challenging to get past the initial application stage, it feels like a higher hurdle to jump than it used to. Here at Jems, we review CVs and applications multiple times each day and offer detailed advice. From CVs and application forms to social media profiles and interview techniques, we have the over 25 years’ experience along with job market knowledge to advise you on all aspects of your application. The aim is to get that all important job offer, but the first step is creating the perfect CV, cover letter or application form. We have set our prices to ensure that our services are affordable, and packages can be built to suit a range of requirements.
Our experienced Consultants will help you to tailor your written applications to the role you are aspiring to gain, showing the best and most relevant version of yourself. With the job market changing at such a fast pace, we can ensure that you adapt your applications and your interview technique to ensure that you have the best chance of being offered the position you want. We will support you through your application, guiding and teaching you new interview techniques, as well as understanding your career aims. In addition to this, we will provide guides for you to keep and follow for current and future job searches.

All these services include the following:
- An initial 15 minute consultation, discussing your applications, career history and goals
- Guidance on how to construct the document
- Full written commentary in order to complete the document required (30, 45 and 60 minute sessions available depending on level and speciality of role, agreed during initial consultation)
- A detailed review of the document, with feedback and any further commentary
- Final review and formatting
- Turnaround time of 2-3 days depending on complexity and level (discussed at initial consultation)
We do not use templates or AI to generate any CVs, one of our experienced Consultants will be dedicated to you throughout the process.
Interview Coaching & Careers Advice:
Interview Coaching - 15, 30 or 60 minute sessions with an initial 15 minute free session to understand your application, CV and how we can guide you. Whether you are having a telephone interview, Teams/Zoom, face-to-face, competency based or presentation, we can guide you through each stage, helping you to really connect with the role and company you are applying to in order to beat the competition.
Careers Advice - if you are looking to change careers or need guidance of how to best approach transferring your skills, we offer a range of sessions. We get to the root of your experience and skills, really getting to know you and using our vast knowledge of the job market across a multitude of industries to be able to advise you. We will include how you can network, building connections to open new avenues. We think outside of the box and we will also be honest with our feedback.
Pricing:
We charge per service, with the ability to create your own bespoke package depending on your requirements; we will offer you flexibility to suit your needs. Prices start from £40, with bundle discounts. Careers advice is priced individually after an initial free consultation.
